The Big Picture with John Hunt.
For newer members, John Hunt is a Life Member and has supported the Club over many years, opening his garden to all, picnics at his Beach Hut in Ryde and helping to run our exhibitions as well as exhibiting himself.
The Big Picture is his brainchild and we are so thankful that he given so much of his time and engineering ability to this project.
42 people will each be given a blank square of paper, and an illustration to copy and paint on that square, with orientation guidance. When all the squares have been painted, they are assembled behind the stage curtain in the Trafalgar Room, and then it's the BIG REVEAL. You will see somehow we have managed to paint a famous painting. It's quite a miracle.
Please bring acrylic paint and a small brush and plastic water container, not watercolour paint or oil paint. A disposable palette would also be a good idea. Don't worry if you don't have suitable paints, there will be artists who will share. This is a group activity.
Also, as well as being free to enter...there is a free raffle for everyone who attends...with prizes that all artists will appreciate.
Put your name down next week.
Please note there will be no model or portrait for this workshop. If you are not participating in the Big Picture, you can still bring your own project to work on, and you will be entered in the raffle.
