Please note that the Brian Smith Watercolour Zoom will now take place on the 31st March 2026 and not the 24th March 2026 as previously published, at the artist's request. The 24th March will revert to our normal workshop.

We are back for our first workshop at 2pm at the Riverside. We look forward to seeing everyone. Subscriptions are now due and have been held at £50 per annum. Payable by Bank Transfer (see tab How to Join for Bank details) or Sum Up. 

Wishing all our members a Happy and Healthy New Year. 

This requires simple sketches, preferably daily, but not compulsory. It is an exercise that is designed to keep, even enhance our ability to observe and create and will only take about ten minutes each to do most of them. A bit like a pianist who has to perform daily scales to keep their hands nimble.

Have a go during these cold winter months and bring your efforts to the AGM on 17th March 2026 at the Riverside, where there will be a quality prize for the most enterprising entry.

Judging to be by anonymous vote from those present at the AGM.

Chairman's Winter Challenge check list

Bring along your unwanted art materials on Tuesday 2nd December. There will be some bargains! Mark clearly with your name and price, in denominations of 50p; £1; £5 etc. We will start selling from teatime onwards. All transactions will be cash, the Club will take no commission but a small dontation from your proceeds will be welcome. Bring a shopping bag and some money and please take any unsold items home with you.
