On Friday,Saturday and Sunday 22 - 24 April, nine Island artists, including several IWAC members are holding an exhibition raising funds for the Andrew Cassell Foundation (ACF) a charity based at Cowes Corinthian Yacht Club (CCYC) providing sailing experience and teaching to disabled adults.
The inspiration for this exhibition was that of the late John Garlick, supporter of Island artists and a prize winning ocean sailor. John died last September and the plans he made for this event have been carried forward by his family and ACF.
As well as a donation from every painting sold at the weekend each artist has donated a picture for sale by auction with the proceeds being given to the charity.
There will be over 80 pictures on show.
On Friday evening there is a ticketed opening party at which the live part of the auction will be held. Tickets cost £17.50 to include drinks and nibbles and entry into the raffle as well as meet the artists.
On Saturday and Sunday there is free entry to the public, from 10 - 4 on Saturday and 10 - 3 on Sunday.
For Friday tickets and more information go to www.acfsailing.org/artshow
To see the donated pictures and to make an on line auction bid go to https://acfsailing.org/2022/04/fairwind-advance-bid . This part of the auction closes at 6pm on Friday prior to the opening party.
We look forward to seeing you there.
