An Extraordinary General Meeting will be held on Tuesday 5th November 2019 at 2pm at the Riverside Centre, Newport. This will form part of the normal workshop on that day.

At the last AGM members were advised that subscriptions would have to rise, and this was approved. The reason is our room hire rate at Riverside is doubling, and the increased annual cost to the Club, when divided by the number of members, amounts to just over £7 per member. The IWAC Council therefore proposes an increase in the subscription fee from £28 (which it has been for longer than anyone can remember) to £35 a year commencing 1st January 2020. If you pay by Standing Order please make the amend accordingly.

I would add that the Council has tirelessly investigated other venues, but none have been entirely suitable.

I hope you will agree £35 a year still represents outstanding value.
All year programme
Availability of sitters for portraits
Provisions for still life
Demonstrations by well known artists
Two exhibitions a year
Study Days
Free publicity on the website

Number plate recognition has now been installed at the Riverside and we have every confidence this will result in a free space for every IWAC member attending our Tuesday afternoon sessions thus saving of a significant sum of money for those who come by car.

Kind regards
Carol Owen
